I'm always amazed at the variety and amount of events going on at the UU in Val-P. The following is a whittled down list of what they're planning, starting with a service this morning:
Today's UUECF service is at 10 a.m. Guest speaker Dr. Dirk Dunbar will address environmental issues.
Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday at The Downtown
Brew, 196 Miracle Strip Pkwy.
Friends of Shelter House Luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. May 3. Tiffany Carr, President of the Florida Coalition against Domestic Violence and a survivor, will speak about domestic violence in Florida. Call Jeannette Debs at 225-3832 or 243-1201 for tickets.
MSD Assembly, May 4-5 - Montgomery. "From Scarcity to Abundance" is the title of the keynote message on "Gratitude and Generosity." Carpool with Alex Gacic, Don Harrison or Rev. Debs, as we join southern UUs for workshops & music. uua.org/msd.
Coming to Second Hour in May ... Bioethics with Dr. Odin Toness. UUFEC is pleased to entertain your eschatological nightmares in a course disguised as a bioethics seminar. Be there - Second Hour in May, June, & July.
For more information about these and other Reverend Rod Debs can be reached at (850) 225-3826 or minister@uufec.com. The office is open M-W-F until noon: 678-7197 or admin@uufec.com.
